omi and i took a break from climbing and took pictures of our shadows ^.~
the sun setting over lake michigan...we had to climb the sleeping bear sand dunes quite a distance to see this!!!
omi, tim, and i took a quick trip up north last weekend. we visited Torch Lake (pictured on the left). sooo pretty!!~
i find it interesting when people assume teachers have 3 full months of school off. that is not the case. those who are in education should especially know that teachers are not completely "off" for the summer. just b/c school ended last thurs doesn't mean we walked out with our kids. and we only get a little over 2 months off, with meetings in august. at any rate, i went into school most of today and got lots done. gonna go back tomorrow to clean up and pack away my room :) balancing grad school and the end of the year has been a bit stressful for me. thank goodness for supportive co-workers, friends, and family. despite being stressful at times, i'm so thankful for my school...co-workers, kids, parents...it's definitely a good fit for me. as the michigan economy gets worse and people are going to other states to find teaching jobs, i realize how blessed i am with my job ^.~i'm surprised at what a difference gas prices are within a couple miles. near school, it was 3.19 a gallon. (in the morning it was only 3.00 or so at the same place). the other prices i saw were 3.07, 3.04, 3.15, etc. i decided to drive a bit out of the way and finally got my 3.02 :) :) i should have filled up a few days ago when it was less than 3.00 a gallon. 96.3 is giving away 10,000 dollars in GAS!!! you just have to "crack the code"...that's all.
my new fav. game...GUITAR HERO!~ thanks to omi and neelesh ^.~
guess who got a VITA-MIX this weekend??? (me) a blender that makes juice, ice cream, and soup...all for $359.99 (plus tax)
time for bed ^.^

I like how in the picture of your shadows you can still make out the Asian peace sign!
