swans

in the last few days, i've had some extra time...

i decided to go to one of my student's swim meets. it was fun since two other students from this years class are on the swim team. when a student leaves you a hand written invitation to attend an event, it's hard to say no :) i was impressed at the organized chaos i experienced there. also...i renewed my longing to be a good swimmer...

omi, paul oppa, neel., and i got to kayak on kent lake @ kensington metropolitan park. kayaking is a lot of fun...and you get to see pretty swans if you kayak far enough!

i got to meet some of omi's future co-workers @ a bbq...they seem pretty nice :) :)

i've had a little obsession to capture the best picture of oreo (with his tags)...there's a michigan humane society calendar contest for all michigan pets. i think oreo would win for sure...but it's hard to choose from pictures when you have so many, and even harder to capture the right look when you have a dog that doesn't like to stay still. i posted some of the choices above~
